Description

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a popular
novel about the exploits of a young mischievous
boy who grows up in a small town along River
Mississippi. The story is set in the town of St.
Petersbury where Mark Twain (the writer of this
novel) grew up. The story is just as enthralling
today as it was when it was published in 1876. It
is a fun story that starts off with Aunt Polly
searching tor her nephew, i.e. Tom Sawyer the
prankster.
In the words of Mark Twain, “Most of the
adventures recorded in the novel really occurred.
One or two were experiences of my own, the rest
of those boys were schoolmates of mine. Tom
Sawyer is a combination of the characteristics of
three boys whom I knew at school level.”
